Activities

As a professor, I engage in a wide-range of scholarly, pedagogical, and professional development opportunities.

If you’re interested in booking me to give a lecture on human rights, transnational feminism, anti-racism, activism in Latin America, and workshops on navigating academia as a woman of color, please contact me via LinkedIn to discuss topic, availability, and honorarium.

I am also available for professional mentoring and consulting services for academics struggling with job satisfaction, advancing their writing projects, maintaining healthy boundaries at work, preparing job applications, and negotiating job offer packages. Please email upliftingscholars@gmail.com for more information and to schedule a 20-minute complimentary consultation.

Voces Críticas

VocesCriticas Critical VoicesStarting in 2016, I produced and hosted a weekly public affairs program called Voces Críticas for three years. I hope to resume the show post-pandemic. Until then, you can listen to an extensive repository of interviews.

The show included interviews with leading scholars, educators, artists, and community activists. The purpose of the show was to curate thoughtful and meaningful discussions over the airwaves to a broader public.

Advancing Education through Collaboration

Feminist Collaborators Sylvanna Falcon with Drs. Molly Talcott, Dana Collins, & Sharmila LodhiaAs an award-winning educator, I am always seeking innovative ways to engage students. I first learned about the case study teaching approach as a graduate student at the University of California, Santa Barbara. I later collaborated with my long-time colleagues Dr. Molly Talcott, Dr. Dana Collins, and Dr. Sharmila Lodhia to design a series of case studies for public use.
